Okay, I admit it... I wrote this question. But it's just because something so cool happened tonight, I had to share.
So, there I was at the Hollywood Bowl for "Movie Night the 75th Anniversary of 20th Century Fox," when I decide to post a picture of myself (and family) in our box. Well, a friend I haven't seen in about 5 years comes up to me during the break. He found me because he saw my picture on Facebook and figured out where I was sitting in relation to the stage.
I got to meet his 3 year old son, and see his wife again. We talked a little business and laughed about old times (or should I say laughed "at"old times). The bottom line is, we re-established our relationship. He and his wife are people I've always really liked, and now, thanks to posting a picture on Facebook, I know we'll stay in touch.
The lesson to you, is to pay attention to social media. It's a great way to stay in touch, deepen relationships, and re-establish old ones.
